>’The Right to Live’ Documents the Lives of Bullied Youth

>

In The Life recently announced the release of The Right to Live, a video addressing the national health crisis of young people who take their own lives as the result of bullying, or “bullycides”:
Studies show that youth who are bullied are five times more likely to be depressed and to report suicidal thoughts. LGBT children and those who are perceived to be gay, lesbian or challenge traditional gender roles are among those most likely to be targeted by bullies. In this look at the most tragic outcome for kids tormented by kids, we meet heartbroken families fighting for federal legislation to protect their children.

GLSEN Executive Director Eliza Byard and safe schools advocate Sirdeaner Walker are both featured in the film.

In The Life is a production company that devotes itself to documenting issues impacting LGBT communities, through coverage of public policy, personal stories, community health and more. To find out when The Right to Live will air on TV in your local area, to stream or download the film on your computer, go to www.inthelifetv.org.
