So what I did was print out a rainbow pride ribbon off the computer and taped it to my shirt. I still stayed silent but when I was asked, I had to say it was the Day of Silence (as they'd never really heard of it much). We had some issues last year with students getting in trouble for using surgical masks. We don't want to make enemies with the administration. I just draw an X across my mouth. It's very visually striking, and many people thought it was tape.
