I cannot believe he is commenting on the bullying against gay kids--I am so glad that he has done so. Unfortunately, Congress (the people who make laws) may not be so courageous, and may not craft any kind of legislation for him to approve. Congress has abandoned this guy...very much like society has allowed our kids to be bullied, tormented, and tortured. I didn't think I'd ever lose it in front of my students...tears of consolation and validation that I couldn't hold back after years of stuffing my frustration, anger, self-doubt,and sadness behind an exterior of pride and self-control. The president's speech brought me to an awareness of "history in the making".
