The second year of GLSEN’s Safe Space Campaign is underway and for those of you who have used a kit, you are well aware of its invaluable underlying message; all students should and need to feel safe in school in order to reach their fullest potential.
GLSEN Student Ambassador Loan T. of Charlotte, North Carolina is an avid blogger and recently wrote this post on his blog emphasizing the importance of placing the Safe Space Kit in middle and high schools throughout the U.S.
Elizabeth Free is the communications manager at GLSEN--the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network. Elizabeth joined GLSEN in 2009 to make schools safer for all students and says one of the best parts of her job is working with GLSEN's Student Ambassadors. She is originally from Texas and has a B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising from the University of Houston.
